Educational Partnerships and Collaboration

TAFE SA collaborates with vocational education institutions in Australia and overseas. We’ve been around since 1971, so we have lots of experience to share. We can be your institution’s knowledge partner, helping you to establish or improve your educational offering. We can help set up courses and advise on infrastructure needs. Your teachers can come and train here with us, or we can send our trainers to you. We can also licence our proven learning materials, including course outlines, PowerPoint presentations, study guides and assessments. Find out how a partnership with TAFE SA can help you.

Onshore Petroleum Centre of Excellence

TAFE SA partner with numerous clients within the Oil and Gas industry. Our Tonsley campus allows us to simulate real life conditions to what operators and operator maintainers encounter on the job, in a controlled environment. Our facilities benefit both new and existing Oil & Gas industry employees to further develop the skills required to succeed in a wide complex industry.

The Onshore Petroleum Centre of Excellence (OPCE) offers specialist oil and gas training. Opened in February 2015 at the TAFE SA Tonsley campus, the OPCE was established through a partnership between TAFE SA and the state’s largest oil and gas producers. The OPCE is a unique facility that provides a realistic simulation of upstream oil and gas operations. The training options range from oil and gas fundamentals to the up-skilling of experienced field operators. The OPCE provides a low hazard, interactive training environment utilising operational upstream field plant and equipment.
